Hatha Yoga
is a discipline practiced to achieve balance between body, mind, and spirit. The benefits of hatha yoga are enumerable on all levels of your being. You can expect to feel a deepened sense of peace, presence, connectedness, understanding, joy, love, and well being.  

There are
5 aspects or qualities that should be cultivated through out the practice. Asana, pranayama, vinyasa, drysti, and bandha's. With practice these five aspects of your discipline will come together like a mighty fist filled with pearls of strength, wisdom, peace, love, and bliss.

Asana: posture, alignment, position. Asana is not just our external posture but also internal. How we hold ourself inside. Thoughts, ideas, and beliefs about ourselves and others. Element: Earth

Pranayama: Breathing techniques, breath control. There are many techniques used to direct the flow of energy and to regulate the nervous system. Element: Air

Vinyasa:
Fluidity, smooth, graceful. Vinyasa is the art of combining breath and motion. Element: Water

Drysti: Focus, openness, directness. Drysti is sensitive awareness to what you are doing. Element: Either

Bandha:  The process of energetic  change that leads to purification.  The bandhas  are muscular and energetic  adjustments  that  transform our internal energies. Element: Fire
